Today Nishita read “Colour my World” with me. She pointed most of the time to the words and read the words fluently. Nishita looked at the pictures to help her decode some of the words. She self corrected when she incorrectly started a word wrong.

Nishita read very fluently today. I wonder if she is reading at home every night?

Key Competencies/Vision Principles

Nishita is developing her Capabilities in Reading. She has a good grasp of many basic sight words and was able to recall them instantly when reading this text (Thinking). Nishita is starting to read fluently at this level (Using Language, Symbols and Texts).
